*Max bows to Donna. As he bows, Louis points his wand at Yuna*

Louis: "Petrificus Totalus!"

*Yuna notices Louis's spell*

"Protego!"

*She creates a shield that deflects the spell*

"That's a dirty trick, Torvian! Avis!"

*A flock of birds is conjured from Donna's wand*

"Oppugno!"

*The birds begin attacking Maxwell*

"good response girls"

"Aves Evanesca!"

*The Conjured birds are Vanished*

"Apis Aculeum!"

*Donna's face becomes swollen, as though she had been stung by a bee*

"Ouch!"

*She glares angrily at Maxwell*

"Lacarnum Inflamarae!"

*A tiny fireball shoots at high speed from her wand at Maxwell*

*The fireball catches Max's robes on fire*

Louis: "Aqua Eructo!"

*Louis extinguishes the fire*

Max: "Thanks, Louis. Now, time for a team attack!"

*They both turn toward Donna and point their wands at her*

Max & Louis: "Flipendo Duo!"

*Donna is launched backwards toward the wall. She points her wand at the wall behind her*

"Arresto Momentum!"

*She bounces harmlessly off the wall and lands on her feet*

"Yuna! Time to power up!"

"Right!"

*Yuna crosses her wand with Donna's*

"Magicus Extremos!"

*Both of their wands begin to glow bright blue*

"Let's end this! Stupefy Duo!"

*Donna and Yuna cast bolts orange magic from their wands at Maxwell*

Max and Louis: "Protego Duo!"

*They create a powerful magic shield that deflects the Stunning Spells*

Max: "Do it, Louis."

*Louis points his wand, not at Donna, but at Professor Howland*

Louis: "Muffliato!"

*Howland's ears begin ringing, and he is unable to hear anything*

Max: "Perfect! Now..."

*Max turns his wand on Donna*

Max: "Crucio!"

*Donna is unable to cast a Shield Charm in time. She falls to the ground, screaming in pain. After a few seconds, she falls unconscious*

"Donna!"

*Yuna turns to Maxwell*

"You monster! Stupefy!"

"Protego!"

*Maxwell deflects the spell*

"Obliviate!"

*He connects to Yuna's mind and speaks directly into it, changing her memories*

~Donna was Stunned. I won the duel, fair and square.~

*He finishes the overwrite and breaks the connection before Louis's Muffliato wears off*

*howland seems amused*
"good duel."
*howland walks over to Maxwell*
"i especially liked the part where you used a spell to try and get an unforgivable curse past me."

"What?! How did you..."

"Sir?"

*Yuna looks confused*

"Maxwell didn't use an Unforgivable Curse. He just Stunned Donna."

*he looks at yuna and speaks softly*
"go back to your seat"
*he looks back at maxwell*
"you must have forgotten, I am a defense against the dark arts teacher. it should be obvious that i can recognize one when i SEE one, and i was still able to see."

Louis: "Damn! I should've used Obscuro as well!"

Max: "Shut up, Louis! You're not helping!"

*howland acts troubled*
"do you think you're in trouble?"

*Yuna looks even more confused as she begins to walk back to her seat. She notices that Donna is still unconscious*

"Rennervate!"

*Donna regains consciousness. Yuna helps her back to her seat*

*Max drops his wand and lowers his head*

"Yes, sir."

*howland turns toward the class*
"lift your head. I want everyone to remember neither death eaters or voldemort will hesitate in using one of the curses you learn about this year."
*looks back toward maxwell and then everyone else*
"but under no circumstances is anyone to use the instant death curse."

Louis: "I wouldn't dream of it, sir."

*Max shoots Louis an angry look*

Max: "Understood, sir."

*Donna stands up quickly, and nearly falls over. She leans against her chair to keep her balance*

"Sir! I'm sorry, but this is an outrage! The Unforgivable Curses are supposed to be just that: unforgivable! You can't let Torvian off this easily for purposefully attacking a student with one of the darkest arts in existence!"
