"I CONFIRM THE PRESENCE OF A POWERFUL FIRE-TYPE POKEMON IN THE ROOM AHEAD. CLOSER ANALYSIS REVEALS THE POKEMON TO BE RYU THE CHARIZARD. THE ROOM HE OCCUPIES HAS A HEAT SIGNATURE IDENTICAL TO THAT OF THE TYPHLOSION FROM THE FLAME WHEEL'S PAGODA. EXTREME CAUTION IS ADVISED."

"I'm not sure how prepared we could possibly be. None of us know any Water-type moves..."

Kakoro: "Well, I have Flash Fire. Maybe I can take a shot at him?"

Ken: "No good. The forbidden techniques are too powerful to be stopped by abilities. To survive, you'd need to either dodge it or use Protect."

*A shimmering figure appears in front of the group*

???: "I can help you."

*The figure materializes into Ane*

Ane: "My name is Ane. I have been observing you ever since you entered this region. Ryu has upset my Masters. He must be punished, and I am here to help you do just that."

*Max glares at Ane*

"I normally don't trust Psychic types. They can mess with your mind. How do I know I can trust you?"

Ane: "Yes, it is true that I have done nothing to earn your trust. However, the circumstances are dire. Should you proceed without my assistance, you will most certainly perish. I ask that you give me the benefit of the doubt and allow me to assist you."

Lani: "I think we can trust her, Max. Besides, we'll need all the help we can get."

"Hmph."

*Max turns to face Ane*

"I'm not going to repeat myself, so listen closely, lady. I'm watching you like a Noctowl. If you try any of your Psychic mind games on any of us, so help me Arceus, I will end you. Understood?"

Ane: "There is no need for violent threats. I am bound by a code of honor. Should the day come that I harm an innocent, my Masters will strip me of my title and banish me to the Reverse World."

*looks at Ane*
Akumu: "Glad to know you're on our side"

- Myton sighed and looked around-

'It's just a mission to stop someone not have a party in my house"

*Ane stops them from entering the room*

Ane: "Wait."

*Ane takes a scroll out and reads it*

Ane: "Vident eventus nondum facta! Foresight!"

*Ane's eyes glow red*

Ane: "I see... Ryu has set up a trap. There are fire jets set to activate when the door is opened."

"Hold on. What was that scroll? And that odd phrase?"

Ane: "This is what is called an Ars Librum, or a Tech Scroll. My Masters have the ability to infuse scrolls with a single use of any move. Simply read the inscribed text, and you can use the move. Once used, the text fades and the scroll can then be charged with a different move. To my knowledge, only my Masters can charge Ars Libra."

"Interesting. Through using these scrolls, could any Pokémon use any move?"

Ane: "Theoretically, yes. However, the effects of a Pokemon using a move it normally could not are unknown. It is likely that there will be great physical and mental strain, and possibly damage as well."

"You know what? Gimme one of those scrolls. I'll be the test subject. Give me a Water-type attack scroll."

Ane: "I suppose... If your heart is set on it... Here. Take these. They're Water Sport, Aqua Jet, and Hydro Cannon. Use Water Sport as soon as we engage Ryu, and save Hydro Cannonfor when you're in a pinch."

"Right. Let's do this! Raaah!!"

*Max breaks down the door and charges in. The fire jets shoot at him, but he doesn't stop*

"Exstingue flammas aqua! Water Sport!"

*Max shoots water out of his mouth, extinguishing the fire jets and soaking the entire room*

"It's clear! Everyone, get in here!"

Lani: "Oh, Max. Impulsive as usual."

Ane: "Ryu! You have upset the balance of power! My Masters have ordered me to punish you!"

Ryu: "Your Masters have no power over me! I have ascended beyond the capabilities of any mortal Pokemon. My power exceeds that of even Arceus himself! None, not even the divine protector, can ever hope to defeat me!"

*Ryu begins to breathe Sacred Fire on everything in the room*

Ane: "Watch out!"

Lani: "Max! Ane!"

*Lani uses Magic Coat on Ane and Max*

*Akumu uses psybeam on Ryu*
