*akumu takes the hit and flies back*
"well that hurt"

*Kakoro picks up an Ars Librum on the floor next to him*

"Virtus Lapidi! Power Gem!"

*Gem-shaped points of light fly from Kakoro's eyes toward Ryu*

*Ryu is knocked back by the attack*

"I can't lose... Not to you!"

*Ryu's Blaze ability activates, and his fire burns much hotter. He uses Sacred Fire again*

"not this time"
*akumu creates a barrier of poison gas around ryu*

*Ryu flaps his wings, dispelling the poison gas*

"I tire of wasting my time with you. Let's finish this!"

*Ryu takes out a smallish stone. It glows with a radiant blue-and-black energy.*

"Omnipotens Deus, concede mihi hanc potestatem ultimum! Potentia est forma ultima! Perde ut erroremque hostibus illum! Mega Evolution!"

*Ryu is enveloped in a purple sphere of energy. After a few seconds, the sphere shatters. Ryu is now jet-black, with blue flames sprouting from his tail and the sides of his mouth. Various ridges and spikes protrude from his joints.*

"Now, you all die! Inferno!!"

*Ryu launches a fireball at Akumu's feet. As it hits the ground, it explodes into a column of fire.*

~No! That Inferno will burn Akumu to ashes! I have to do something... I'm sorry, my Masters, but I must use a forbidden technique...~

*Ane takes out a stone that glows with green-and-white energy*

"Tutoribus magna! Da mihi hanc potestatem ultima! Virtute tueri ones affecto! Mega Evolution!"

*Ane is enveloped in a purple sphere of energy. After a few seconds, the sphere shatters. Ane's dress now billows out beneath her. Her chest spike has split in two and spread out sideways.*

"Don't you dare hurt him! Misty Terrain!"

*Ane emits a pink mist that fills the room.*

<For those unfamiliar with X and Y's new moves, Misty Terrain prevents all status conditions for 5 turns.>

"That won't stop me! Just lay down and die! Draco Meteor!!"

*Ryu calls down meteors from the sky at Ane*

*Ane simply stands as the meteors hit her. The meteors shatter against her body harmlessly.*

"It seems you need a lesson in basic type match-ups. I'm a Fairy-type. Fairy-types are immune to Dragon-type moves! On the other hand, Dragon-types are weak to Fairy-type moves! Dazzling Gleam!"

*Ane emits a tangible flash of light towards Ryu*

*Ryu tries to block the attack, but fails. He is knocked to the floor, unconscious.*

"That's the end of that!"

*Ane picks up Ryu's body*

"Everyone, grab on. I'm going to Teleport us out of here."

*Ane teleports everyone out of the room. They end up in a pure white temple-like building unlike any built in Rinto*

"Here we are. Follow me, and remember your manners. We are going to see my Masters."

*akumu steps forward*
"exuse me miss Ane but, are we in the lost marble palace?"
*some excitement can be heard in akumu's voice*

"This is the Guardian Palace, also known as the Lost Marble Palace in your world. My Masters watch over your world from here, protecting the balance of nature."

*Ane approaches a large door with three stones embedded in it: a yellow, pink, and light blue one*

"We are here. Remember: do not anger my Masters."

*Ane uses her psychic powers to energize the three stones. They glow, and the door slides open. On the other side of the door is a spherical room, dimly lit by a glowing pond.*

"My Masters... I have returned."

*Three vague shapes emerge from the pond. Each glows a different color: yellow, pink, and light blue.*

"Excellent work, Ane."

"You defeated the foe with admirable skill."

"I cannot take all the credit."

"Who are these Pokemon that you have brought with you?"

"They assisted me in my mission. They are my friends."

*The three shapes take the forms of Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf*

"My friends, these are my Masters, the Lake Guardians Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf."

{From now on, Orange text is for Kakoro, and red text is for Ken.}

"The Lake Guardians... I can't believe that I am in the presence of such greatness."

*Ken bows his head out of respect. Kakoro sees him and mimics the motion*

"You have assisted Ane with her mission. You have our deepest gratitude."

*The Guardians nod simultaneously*

"It is time for us to give you your next mission."

"You will be accompanied by another of our emissaries for this mission."

*Azelf gestures toward a door off to the side, and it opens*

"Another Pokemon has dared to use a forbidden technique."

"The perpetrator is a Gothitelle named Carina."

"You must track her down and bring her here by any means necessary."

"Your friends may assist you if they so desire."

"Understood. Let's go, everyone."

*Ane leads the group out of the Guardians' chamber. As they walk down the hall, Ane speaks*

"If any of you would like to opt out of this mission, please tell me now. I will send you home, and you may continue on as you wish."

-Myton was at his dojo meditating in the deepest parts hidden underground-

" It has been a long time since I've felt peace, I hope to keep it this way"

-he stands and starts to practice on steel training dummies that are designed to fight back-

"I'll stick around for a while. I want to see what'll happen."

"well what are we standing around for, i got sableye watching the museum."
*akumu looks at lopunny*
"imagine how many more ancient city's or legendary pokemon we'll encounter"

Lani: "Yes. We're coming with you, Ane. We can't turn down the opportunity for adventure!"

*Ane is silent for a moment*

Ane: "...Thank you. All of you. I'm glad I met you all."

*Ane smiles*

Ane: "Now... Koshka, where are we headed?"

"Our target is a Gothitelle by the name of Carina. She is a well-known singer from the Psyche district of the Capital. Our intelligence shows that she was last seen in the Venom district, committing crimes using the forbidden technique known as Heart Swap. We're going to the Shade district, next to the Venom district. We have an undercover agent who has set up a base of operations there."

"we're going to the venom district? that's one of the most dangerous towns in the capital."
*akumu thinks for a moment*
"just who is your informent"

"We have hundreds of informants throughout the region. The one who reported this information to us was a Seviper stationed in the Venom district."
