"I'll see what I can do... Hado 31: Shakkaho! (Red Flare Cannon)"

*Sonico produces a ball of red flame in her hand that illuminates the room*

"I'm not very good with Hado, but this will do for now."

*notices a tall shadowy figure in the corner of the room*

"stay sharp guys, this could be a trap. hey you sure you can't produce a stronger flame, we could sure use the light"

*goes to investigate the shadowy figure*

"it appears to just be a statue, huu thank goodne.."

*before he can finish his sentence he is lunged at and grabbed and put into a strangle hold*

"guack?!?!"

"Kuro!"

*Tsukikami draws his sword*

"Nullify, Sora no Tamashi!"

*He slashes at the figure that is choking Kuro*

*the puppet explodes due to the attack and sends Kuro flying*

"guh thanks" *panting*

"that statue wasn't just a statue, it was szayel aporro's puppet."

*szayel's voice is heard over intercom*
Szayel: "looks like you aren't having trouble adapting to your enviornment. you all will be glorius puppets. maybe then aizen will recognize my talents and raise my rank."

"what;your planning on turning us into puppets?? well thats not going to happen"

"I know you can hear us, Szayel-Aporro, so listen and listen well. It's not too late to turn away from Aisen. He's evil. Twisted. Once you've served your purpose, he won't hesitate to terminate you. Come with me. Stand against Aisen. We can defeat Aisen if we work together."

*Yona's voice gets softer*

"Work together... like we used to... so many years ago..."

"What? You knew him, Yona?"

"You knew him and you didn't bother to tell, how could you do this. you've been keeping important information from us that we could've used to stop him earlier when we had the chance"

"Yes, I knew Szayel-Aporro. I was afraid that if I told you, you wouldn't trust me. But now that that secret's out, I might as well tell you the whole story.

*Yona takes a deep breath*

"I was previously a part of 5th Company. Aisen's company. When Aisen defected... I went with him. I didn't have much of a choice. Aisen blackmailed me. He said..."

*Yona begins to tear up*

"He said... if I didn't come with him... My family... In the world of the living... He would kill them."

"Yona... You were once a human?"

"Yes, I was a human once. I died in a car accident. For some reason, when Konso was performed on me, my soul wasn't sent to the Seireitei. I was instead turned into a Reaper. Anyways, Aisen blackmailed me and forced me to go with him. It was there that I met Szayel-Aporro. I worked with him and developed multiple tools that Aisen used during his first attack on the Seireitei and the world of the living."

*Yona takes a deep breath, and continues*

"After Aisen's defeat, I returned to the Seireitei. Oddly, my files had been removed from the records of the companies, so I had to go through Spiritual Arts Academy again. I was assigned to 12th company, and used all I had learned from Szayel-Aporro to help the Reapers."

*Yona stands up*

"Well, there you have it. That's my story."

szayel: "that touches me yona. please just know that i'm doing this for you"

"You're attacking my friends, and your master is threatening to destroy the world of the living! That's the exact opposite of what I want!"

Szayel: "i know yona"
*a door opens and szayel walks in*
szayel: "i won't ask you to understand, but i won't let you get past me either"
*szayel swings at yona*

*Yona ducks under Szayel's sword and draws her own*

"Infect, Uirusu Kessho!"

*She stabs at Szayel*

"I'm sorry, old friend, but we have a mission. Nothing you do can stop us."

Szayel: "that was a good try, but that won't be enough to defeat me. i helped you perfect that attack you think i didn't know how to stop it from killing me"
*szayel stumbles back*
Szayel: "i didn't expect you to cut me so deep."
*szayel swings sword again*

*Yona tries to dodge, but is grazed*

"I don't know why I thought I could beat you with my shikai alone. You taught me everything I know about it. But this..."

*She jumps back and holds her sword aloft*

"...I taught myself! Bankai! Uirusu No Chi-Ekibyo!"

*Her sword turns black, and the hand-guard morphs into a rose shape. Her personality seems to change, as well as her manner of speaking*

"My blade shall fall as a guillotine upon your neck!"

*She begins a series of graceful thrusts and swings*

*szayel jumps back but gets cut through*
Szayel: "I Didn't. Expect To. Be Defeated. So Easily."
*szayel falls back onto the ground*
Szayel: "Yona. Please come here."

~This must be some sort of trick...~

*Yona hesitates, then approaches Szayel*

szayel: "i'm sorry, i had to get higher up so i could betray aizen. He tried to kill your family a while back."
*szayel coughs up blood*
"i made him think they were dead so i could send them to the soul society"

"Send them... But how? If they're still living..."

Szayel: "i sent them the same way urahara sent all of karakura town. i'm sorry, yona. please take my sword you will need it later to get your family out of the soul society, for if you don't hollows will try to consume not only their souls but their bodies as well."

*Yona takes the sword without a word*

szayel:"one more thing."
*szayel snaps his fingers and a door opens*
"aizen had traps and espada waiting for you in every room, this door will take you straight to aizen."
*szayel closes his eyes*
"yona, i'm sorr.."
*szayels words trail off as he dies*
