*akumu hears her and turns toward Lani*
"Lani..."

"Please... help..."

*There is a crack in the ice, right in front of Lani's face*

"Shoot the crack... Don't worry about me..."

*akumu steps toward her*
"OK"
*akumu uses psyshock on the crack*

*The ice shatters. Lani stands dead still for a moment, then begins to fall forward toward Akumu*

*akumu dives forward to catch her*

*Lani falls into Akumu's arms*

"Akumu... I... love you..."

*She closes her eyes, and her body goes limp*

"Lani. Lani."
*akumu shakes Lani*
"...LANI!"

*Lani does not respond. Her breaths are shallow, and her pulse is slowing*

~This is bad... She was trapped in that ice for too long. I... I don't think she will live for much longer, unless we get her out of there quickly.~

*Carina begins to laugh maniacally*

"Looks like your little hotheaded girlfriend's cooled down- for good!"

*akumu runs and grabs Carina by the shoulders and shakes her violently*
"I swear to arceus, if she dies... You will wish you were dead too!"

*Carina shoves Akumu away and holds up the bomb*

"It doesn't matter if she dies. You'll be joining her soon."

*She presses a few buttons, and the timer speeds up*

"You've got about a minute left to live. Don't waste it."

*a thought bursts into akumu's head and he bursts into laughter*
"Tell me one more time Carina"
*akumu let's go and stands up*
"What Pokemon type are you so mad at... and why do you want them all dead"

*insane laughter*

"Dark! Poison! Ghost! They're a plague, I tell you! Without them, we'd live in a perfect world! No crime, no disease, no death! I'll do whatever it takes to rid the world of them! Ahahaha~!"

*akumu points over at Lani*
"And yet you, someone who isn't even ghost type, are managing to kill her"
*he leans over and slaps her*
"It isn't the type of Pokemon that causes that, IT'S THE POKEMON THEMSELVES"

"Shut up, shut up, shut up! I'll kill you, too! NOBODY WILL GET IN MY WAY! I WILL HAVE MY PERFECT WORLD!!"

*The timer on the bomb reaches 10 seconds*

"Aaahahaha!! Ten seconds left, Akumu~! Better make peace with your precious Arceus! Myself, I've already made arrangements with Giratina and Yveltal!"

*The timer hits zero... and the bomb doesn't explode*

"W-what?! Why didn't it explode?!"

*Ane's voice is heard*

"Phew...! Looks like I managed to stop it, and not a moment too soon."

*akumu looks up*
"Thank you ane, do you think you could get us out of here before a certain gothitelle meets arceus herself"

*akumu grabs her by the throat*

*Carina bursts into maniacal laughter*
